MPEG-1 System is mainly used in video broadcasting in which image quality reaches VCD effect. The sending end includes MPEG-I stream encoder, MPEG-I file broadcaster. The receiving end includes hardware decoder, software decoder, etc. The receiving end has an additional function of saving MPEG-1 data stream to file, which may be played by Windows media player.

    This system may be used in distance learning, video conference, and video information broadcasting, and so on.

MPEG-1 Encoder:	Encoding analog video signals to MPEG-1 data packets that broadcast(directly via satellite) by network interface card or synchronous card.
MPEG-1 file broadcaster:	Broadcasting MPEG-1 files according to relevant rate by network interface card.
MPEG-1 decoder（hardware）:	Receiving data from network interface card or satellite receiver card, and decoding the data to video and audio signals that output to monitor or television.
MPEG-1 decoder（software）:	Receiving data from network interface card, and decoding the data to video and audio signals that output to monitor.

　

　

In this illustration, MPEG-1 encoder is used in distance learning, synchronizing PowerPoint documents over the head end and remote end. 

　

   In the notebook PC (operation machine) in front of teacher, the KingSky Kspptsyn software that sends information of synchronizing pages is installed;

   When teacher turns the PowerPoint pages in the notebook PC, Kspptsyn software will send the data packets including page number to encoder. Then encoder packets their command packets again and sends them to the decoder;

   After receiving command packets, the decoder turns automatically the PowerPoint pages.
